Fee

Overview

Every HashKey Chain transaction consists of two components:

  • L2 (Execution) Fee: Cost for executing your transaction on HashKey Chain

  • L1 (Security) Fee: Estimated cost for publishing the transaction to Ethereum mainnet

Fee Breakdown

L1 Security Fee

  • Fluctuates based on Ethereum mainnet network congestion

  • Typically higher than the L2 execution fee

  • Can be optimized by timing transactions during periods of lower gas prices (e.g., weekends or off-peak hours)

L2 Execution Fee

  • Dynamic pricing based on HashKey Chain network usage

  • Follows similar principles to Ethereum's gas pricing model

  • Adjusts according to network demand:

  • Higher fees during peak usage

  • Lower fees during quieter periods

Cost Optimization

To minimize transaction costs on HashKey Chain:

  1. Monitor Ethereum gas prices for optimal L1 fee conditions

  2. Consider scheduling non-urgent transactions during off-peak hours

  3. Batch transactions when possible to reduce overall costs

Note: Fee structures may be subject to updates as the network evolves.
